Terms of Service

By accessing or using the 4th House platform at 4thhouse.app or the mobile application (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform.

4th House LLC ("4th House," "we," "us," or "our") is a Washington State limited liability company. The Platform is a shared living connection service that helps members find and connect with others interested in shared living arrangements, including fractional home ownership, roommate matching, room rental, communal living, room and board/work trade, and RV parking and camping.

4th House is a connection platform only. We do not facilitate, broker, guarantee, or take responsibility for any arrangements, agreements, transactions, or interactions made between members. Members are solely responsible for their own decisions and arrangements.

To use the Platform you must: (a) be at least 18 years of age; (b) be a human individual (no automated accounts); (c) provide accurate and complete information when creating your account; and (d) comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

You must register an account to use the Platform. In an effort to maintain the integrity of the review process, accounts cannot be deleted by members. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Email address is required for basic membership.

Display names on the Platform must be unique. Once you change your display name, your previous name is permanently retired and cannot be claimed by any other member. You may reclaim your own previous names at any time.

You agree to use the Platform in good faith and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

(a) Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information on your profile or listings; (b) Harass, threaten, or harm other members; (c) Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (d) Attempt to circumvent any Platform security or access controls; (e) Create multiple accounts or impersonate any person or entity; (f) Scrape, copy, or reproduce Platform content without permission; (g) Post content that is discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

Listings posted on the Platform are active for 30 days from the date of posting. 4th House reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms. Members may express interest in listings and connect with other members. All connections, meetings, and arrangements are made solely between members — 4th House is not a party to any arrangement.

4th House does not provide legal, financial, real estate, or professional advice. Members are strongly encouraged to consult appropriate professionals before entering into any financial or legal arrangement with another member.

The Platform facilitates introductions between members. When members agree to meet or collaborate, this represents an expression of mutual intention only — it is not a legally binding agreement. 4th House is not responsible for in-person or virtual interactions between members.

Members are advised to: (a) meet in public places for first in-person meetings; (b) inform trusted contacts of meeting plans; (c) consult legal and financial professionals before entering into any co-ownership, lease, or financial arrangement; and (d) trust their instincts.

Certain features of the Platform, including identity verification and listing fees, may require payment. All fees are stated at the time of purchase. Payments are processed securely. 4th House does not facilitate financial transactions between members — any financial arrangements between members are made entirely outside the Platform and are solely the responsibility of the members involved.

Members may leave reviews for other members following meetings and collaborations. Reviews are factual and performance-based only. Review scores are displayed as aggregated, anonymized data — individual reviews are never publicly attributed to a specific member. 4th House reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.

Late cancellation records and reliability scores are permanent features of a member's profile and are not removable by the member. These records are factual statements of platform activity only.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

All Platform content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to design, code, text, graphics, and logos — are owned by 4th House LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without our express written permission.

By posting content on the Platform (including profile information, photos, and listing details), you grant 4th House a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. 4TH HOUSE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT VERIFY THE IDENTITY, BACKGROUND, OR INTENTIONS OF ANY MEMBER BEYOND THE VERIFICATION FEATURES OFFERED ON THE PLATFORM.

4TH HOUSE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY MEMBER, WHETHER ONLINE OR OFFLINE. USE OF THE PLATFORM AND ANY ARRANGEMENTS MADE THROUGH IT ARE ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, 4TH HOUSE LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR ANY ARRANGEMENTS MADE THROUGH IT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 4th House LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your interactions with other members; or (d) any arrangement you enter into through the Platform.

4th House reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, without notice and at our sole discretion. Members may request termination of their account at: admin@4thhouse.app. Members may also "hide" their own accounts at any time.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), rather than in court, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court. The arbitration shall be conducted in Washington State. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law principles. To the extent arbitration does not apply, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Washington State.

The Platform is intended for global use. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with local laws. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States and its processing there. Users in the European Economic Area have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — please see our Privacy Policy for details.

4th House reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify members of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
